Recent research suggests that 1 in 4 children under perform at school due to visual impairment. Children don't have a means of comparing their vision to determine whether they can see clearly or not. This makes it extremely difficult as parents to judge how well they can see.
Children's eyes can rapidly change without them even being aware, we consequently deem it vital for them to visit our senior optometrists at least once a year.
The NHS also value your child's vision just as much as we do and so they fund their eye examination and provide a voucher if eye wear is required. For those who want spectacles, we allow you to use this voucher to fully fund your lenses meaning you only have to purchase a frame for as little as £9.95. Alternatively, if your child opts to try contact lenses then we will use the value of the voucher to subsidise this cost.
